Ph.D. in Sociology from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India. Area of research comprised women, work and quality of their life. Her post-doctoral study at the University of Pune, Maharashtra, looked into the intra-household dynamics of corporate women executives amidst changing dynamics of market economy under the garb of globalization. After a short teaching assignment in one of the leading colleges of Delhi University, she decided to pursue her professional career in development sector.

Having traveled the length and breadth of the country, she has developed a keen understanding of the varying socio-economic and cultural contexts. She has handled independent assignments on various development issues related to education, health, legal literacy with particular focus on women and children. She is particularly interested in regional diversities as they affect the issues of development at national and international levels.  She has presented research papers at many academic and professional forums and contributed articles in leading journals.
