Biography:
Nicholas J. Beutell is professor of management at the Hagan School of Business at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. He received his Ph.D. in management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. His major research interests include the work-family interface, career management, and international and web-based human resource management. His publications have appeared in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, and the Journal of Vocational Behavior. He has served as a human resource consultant with AT&T, Equitable Life Assurance Society, and Public Service Electric and Gas Company. Dr. Beutell is a Fellow of the Eastern Academy of Management and is a member of the Academy of Management and SHRM. He holds a degree in the martial arts discipline, Soo Bahk Do, is a licensed psychologist, and he holds the Senior Professional in Human Resource Management (SPHR) designation from SHRM.
