Biography:
Jamie Ladge is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Organizational Development Group within the College of Business Administration at Northeastern University. Jamie is also a faculty affiliate at Boston College’s Center for Work & Family and a 2009-11 recipient of the Sloan Work-Family Early Career Development Grant. Jamie's primary research interests are at the intersection of careers, identity and work-life integration. Some of her projects have focused on exploring how first-time mothers re-define and evaluate their maternal and professional identity and efficacy following re-entry, pregnancy experiences in the workplace and the effects of childbirth timing on subjective measures of career success. Jamie has also worked on a number of research projects focused on work-life programs and practices as well as gender and diversity issues in organizations. Her recent publications have appeared in the Journal of Vocational Behavior, Organizational Dynamics and Negotiations and Conflict Management Research. Jamie received the 2009 Sage Best Paper Award based on a dissertation from the Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division of the Academy of Management. Jamie earned her PhD from Boston College. Prior to beginning the doctoral program at BC, Jamie worked in consulting and e-commerce firms. She resides in Newton with her husband and three boys.
