ADA (Age Discrimination Act of 1975), Definition(s) of

“The ADA prohibits discrimination on the basis of age in any program or activity that receives federal financial support if that program is not explicitly aimed at a particular age group. The ADA applies across the age spectrum from young to old. Amendments passed in 1986 further clarified its mandate. The ADA is enforced by the Office for Civil Rights. It does not cover employment.”
